Additional Information for megahostindia.in

The sections below explain in more detail how megahostindia.in and its client area handle personal information. They form part of this Privacy Policy. In these sections, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Megahostindia Web Solutions (MEGAHOSTINDIA Web Solutions), a proprietorship based in Nashik, Maharashtra, India.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Customer Master Agreement and the applicable Customer Product Agreement Extensions. Where they differ on how information relating to your account or orders is collected, used, stored or shared, the Customer Master Agreement and Customer Product Agreement Extensions apply, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Our Website and Client Area

megahostindia.in has two parts on the same domain: our main website, and our client area, which handles orders, cart and checkout, billing, invoices, support tickets and service management.

When you create an account or place an order, we collect your name, company name (optional), email address, phone number, postal address, country and state, GSTIN (if you provide one) and your order and billing history. Your state and GSTIN are used to determine the place of supply and the GST shown on your invoices.

When you raise a support ticket, we keep its contents and any attachments you send. We also record login IP addresses and account activity to protect your account and prevent fraud.

Contact Form

Our contact form asks for your first name, last name, email address, phone number, subject and message. We use these details only to respond to your enquiry.

The form does not store submissions in our website database. Each submission is delivered to our business mailbox by email, where we keep it for the period stated under “How Long We Keep Information”.

The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a real person is submitting it. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you interact with the page and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Cookies, Analytics and Tag Management

We use the following kinds of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies: needed for login sessions, the shopping cart, checkout and security in our client area and website. The site does not work properly without them.
  • Analytics cookies: we use Google Analytics, managed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our website. This includes pages visited, time spent, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site. Google may set its own cookies for this.

When you first visit our website, a cookie consent banner lets you accept or adjust optional cookies. Your choice is saved in a cookie so we do not ask again on every visit. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings option on our website.

We also use a caching tool that stores ready-made copies of our pages so they load faster; it is not used to build profiles of visitors.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking essential cookies may stop the client area from working.

Payments

We accept payments through Razorpay, PayPal, Stripe, CCAvenue and, where offered, PayU. Card, UPI, net banking and wallet details are entered on the payment gateway’s own page or secure form, not on our servers.

We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes. From the gateway we receive the transaction ID, amount, payment status and limited details such as the payment method used.

Some gateways may let you save a payment method with them. Any such saved details are held by that gateway under its own privacy policy, not by us.

Domain Registration and WHOIS

We register domain names through our accredited domain registrar partner. To register a domain, your registrant contact details (such as name, organisation, email, phone and address) are shared with that registrar and the registry for that domain extension, as required by their policies and, where applicable, ICANN rules.

Depending on the extension and registry policy, some of these details may appear in public WHOIS or RDAP records.

We offer domain privacy protection as an optional add-on, provided through our registrar partner. Where the registry supports it, it replaces your contact details in public WHOIS records with substitute details. Please note:

  • It is not available for every domain extension.
  • The registrar and registry still hold your actual details and may disclose them where required by law, a court or government order, or a domain dispute process.
  • We do not guarantee complete anonymity through this service.

How We Communicate With You
  • Email: we send service emails such as order confirmations, invoices, renewal reminders, support ticket replies and security notices. Emails from our website and client area are delivered through SMTP2GO, a third-party email delivery provider. Service emails are part of providing your services. Any promotional emails will carry a way to opt out.
  • SMS: we may send service messages by SMS through DLT-registered SMS providers in India, as required by TRAI regulations. Your phone number and the message content are shared with the provider to deliver them.
  • WhatsApp: we may send service notifications through the WhatsApp Business Platform (operated by Meta) to customers who have opted in. You can opt out at any time through your client area or by contacting us.
  • Telegram: we may use Telegram to deliver internal alerts to our team about orders, payments and support tickets. These alerts may include your name, contact details and order details. They are used only to serve you, not for marketing.

Service Providers We Use

We use Service Providers, as defined in our Customer Master Agreement, to provide our products and services. Information in your account, including order details and the authentication information for your services, is accessible to us and to the Service Providers involved in fulfilling your orders. Service Providers process your information under their own policies and, where applicable, under our instructions.
